I had a fantastic stay at a traditional family run onsen hotel nestled between two mountains surrounded by cobbled roads from the days of the samurai. The hotel staff was warm and caring, and they provided transportation services to make my journey easier. I particularly enjoyed the private volcanic spa baths, which were available whenever I needed, and the antique and animè decors around the hotel that added to its traditional vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at a charming ryokan in a small village with traditional, cobbled roads that took us back in time. the warm welcome from the staff, Kenji & Hiromi, made us feel right at home. the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious and of high quality. the surrounding views and fresh mountain air added to the tranquil atmosphere of the place. We loved the system indicating which baths were occupied, making our spa experience even better.
The small village location may not be suitable for tourists looking for a more fast-paced lifestyle.

Spent Christmas in a charming family-run hotel with exceptional service. The staff greeted us warmly and offered hot drinks upon arrival. The onsen was relaxing and had stunning views of the serene environment. there were other public baths around the area. The food was exquisite with authentic local specialties. the concept of a traditional Japanese village with cobbled roads added to the general charm.
The hotel was a bit hard to find as it was tucked away in an isolated location. Although driving was an option, parking was only available by the roadside with covered lots.

The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing after long work days. the onsen offered stunning mountain views and a true Japanese experience. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the traditional meals were full of delicious surprises.
The location of the hotel was relatively isolated, making it difficult to find things to do outside of the hotel grounds. the road leading up to the hotel was quite narrow and may not be suitable for larger vehicles.
